Just let it be....

Last evening was a strange night
I had no memory of what was

I was trying to speak
But words were silent
And expressions dead

Yet,I spoke to you
…in silences
…in thoughts
…sometimes in dreams

I was savouring the sweet taste
Of these abnormal conversations
…thinking
…grinning
…loving
…flying

You called
We spoke with words bordering on indifference
Speaking
Yet again in silences

I disconnected
And I realized it was not just the phone
But also you
From my life!!!
********

Now, I sit here
Looking at the shadows
Those mountains made

And separating me
From the other side
I realized…

I was still connected
Just that there was a wall somewhere inside

And I resolved
To let it be
Cause walls create
…definitions
…demarcations
…directions
within which life is more governed

easier to pass off as
…friendship
…courtship
…or maybe some other relative

wonder why we cannot make some other ship
to sail on our sea of lives

wonder why….

But I have resolved to
Just let this be
For you and for me!!

whatever (or whosoever) the inspiration, but the piece is pretty well written.
Flowing, to be precise.
At the same time a piece that sounds pretty much like a well-kept secret, that ever after being told is as mystic as ever :)

Also, in case you haven't already read this, let me recommend a good book to start the year with: Love in the time of cholera, by the legendary Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

tinker...thanks!!

i have also wanted to be in a state of mind where i am ready to accept things as they are, without regrets, or without wanting for more.

Not getting what you want makes you better...

I am at peace, comfortable with what ihave/i dont have:)

thanks for the recommendation of the book...but tell me is it fiction?? and how fat is it...for i dont read fiction except when i really really wanna read some book!!

Dont you think our life itself is a story:)
