Power...

There are so many things that are happening around me and when I ponder on each of them seperately..they lead to just one conclusion:

It's the question of, 'Do we, as individuals;
do we, as a community;
and
do we, as a nation, really
and as a world,
do we have the power to make changes?
Do we have the power to rule our own destiny?

And the answer that echoes in my mind in response is:

The choices that we make in the situations that we land in results in our destiny...so no matter how "micro" or "macro" the matter is...It's only we that have this power..and we better take responsibilty for the choices that we have made!!

And..while making those choices it pays to doubt one's faith!!

choices or motive?
i think motive is more important
'cause thats what really drives our desire to act(or react)

But, the toughest part if to take the 'responsibility' eventually. It is, for me, atleast!

Ekdum correct. There is always a choice. Though sometimes both choices can be as bad.

I just love the concept of questioning the base of basics!!

I believe, the human being has a very high POTENT of changing environment

Too much is possible ...

Did you know that every thought in you mind creates matter ( chemicals..hormones et al) inside your body...
you mind ( thoughs) have a potential of creating matter ( chemicals!!)

Guess it's all about choices! They stem from who we are and make who we will be. :)

Pooja:)

Abhishek:Agreed totally!

Magpie:I found it funny that both choices could be bad...think that,more often than not we are unable to find out whether the situation we land in is good/bad in the long term..which we only later discover:)

Blue..that is so true!

we all make a difference and therefore we all make things change but just like a pebble in a pond those changes are some times small and imperceptible.

Change is hard and it won't happen at the highest (say national or even international level) unless it starts from within each of us.
And we have to start somewhere. I did something for the first time too and a bit of a write up on my blog here.
Maybe it is relevant may be it is not, its my small way of trying to help make our world better.
BTW I loved the trekking pics, wonder if you would want to write up a little travelogue to go with it? I used to trek a lot around the Sahyadri's when I lived in India. You may be familiar with these names - Ratangad, Bhimashankar, Alangad, Kalsubai, ting,Tikona,Lohgad. There are others but the names are kind of fuzzy now :)

CJ:You are correct!

Karmic:Will surely read that one on your blog.BTW, i am thrilled to know that you treked around sahyadris..i am planning to go to kalsubhai on the 16th...will probably write about the trek then and I feel lucky to be in Mumbai so that i can trek in the sahyadris:)
