Sundry...

Sunday evening,a rock show,
Masala martini,discussions
Poverty in India
The SEZ story
Of displaced people
Of hunger
Riots
Nithari

They are
Only a number
And some masala
With the masala martini
Some interesting conversation

Sometimes
To sound learned
Impress others
“An Ego booster”

With Pink Floyd
And drunk state of mind

All this, sounds
Painful
“But far”

You glare at me
Drunk n Happy

I feel
“Exposed”
Thru your piercing eyes
I feel
shallow
Exposed

We discuss
The TATA-CORUS deal
And how far India has come
Or…!!!

The exposed body
And piercing look

“India..has come far!!!”

Thoughts
Drift to micro
To work

And so many mundane
Baggage’s that we make
A house, a car
An EMI

Will we
Think beyond
The cobwebs
that we ourselves make

The night draws…
And I blink,
Thinking of all that happened
Poverty, pain, saddam, India,Inflation,
Stock markets
Appraisal, salary, house, car, oil prices

I am just a blogger, I just write
All that is sundry….
A drawing room discussion!!!

Yes, you are just a blogger, but please write more!

The lines that touched me the most of this poem:

Will we
Think beyond
The cobwebs
that we ourselves make

Very profound!
